The Sharjah Police apprehended a man for administering illegal massage scam and later utilizing them for harassing women. Authorities said that the suspect advertised the massage scam service on social media for as little as AED 100 in order to get customers.
According to the police, they received information of an Arab suspect, in his forties, marketing the unlawful service via several social media outlets, including Snapchat.
Later, he would capture compromising photographs and videos of the ladies while he was massaging them. He used the explicit material to blackmail them for financial compensation. Upon confirmation, a police squad conducted a raid at the identified place and found him guilty as charged. According to the reports, he admitted his guilt.
Criminals engage in a variety of promotional strategies in order to advertise their illicit services. Among them are the dissemination of visiting cards on the streets and fake profiles on various social media platforms. When ‘clients’ who aren’t paying attention react to the advertisement and travel to the site, crooks capture photographs or videos of them and then blackmail them for money.
Residents have been encouraged by the Sharjah police to report any such services offering illegal massages. The police warned them that utilizing such services would put them in risk. Likely troubles include a variety of different things like extortion.
