A person who is currently living in the UAE on a Golden residence visa is able to work legally within the country. As stated in Article 7 of the Employment Law and Article 6(1) (j) of the Cabinet Resolution No. 1 of 2022, this is in compliance with the relevant regulations.
Dubai is one of the world’s most dynamic cities, and its evolution into a top commercial hub and residence in recent decades has been astonishing. The city has attracted entrepreneurs and investors due to its varied economy, advanced infrastructure, and excellent location, winning the world’s ‘Most Popular Destinations’ award in 2022 and 2023.
Companies that have registered with the Ministry and wish to employ individuals with Golden Visas can request a specific type of authorization that permits them to do so.
An employee can notify their employer of any changes to their UAE resident visa before applying for a golden residency visa. In line with the previously mentioned letter, the employer must cancel the employee’s present work permit and, later on, their UAE resident visa. With this, we comply with the provisions of Article 7 (3) of the First Cabinet Resolution of 2022.
UAE Work Bundle Policy also announces a five-day reduction in visa processing time.
- The only way to request the work permit’s cancellation is through the official procedures set up by the Ministry.
- Including all necessary information and documents in the completed form.
- If applicable, paying the penalty for late or non-renewal work permit issuance.
- The company’s recognition that it should pay the employee all of his benefits.
- Any further terms mandated by the Minister or his delegate.
