During the five-day vacation to honor the Islamic festival Eid Al Adha, residents of the UAE may book roundtrip tickets to Italy for Dh980, France for Dh1,135 and Spain for Dh1,308. After searching explore everywhere, these were the most affordable options on the travel website.
Astronomical estimations suggest the holiday will be Sunday, June 16, to Wednesday, June 19. That’s five festival-related days off, including Saturday, June 15. The start and finish of Islamic Hijri months depend on moon sighting. A week later, schools will close for two months for summer holidays.
Enquiries for travel during the break has increased by up to 20 per cent, according to an expert.
In the United Arab Emirates, June 14th is by far the most popular departure date, according to statistics compiled by Sky scanner. It’s the last day before the Eid holiday starts.
“More than half of UAE travellers are searching for trips of up to one week or less, while 33 percent are looking for trips that are over 1-2 weeks long. About 14 per cent are looking to book holidays for up to a month,” the travel company said.
According to travel expert Ayoub El Mamoun, UAE citizens’ holiday choices are changing dynamically during the next break.
He shared the five most popular locations:

- Tokyo (330%)
- Athens (257%)
- Dublin (212%)
- Malé (205%)
“The surge in popularity of these five trending destinations showcases the adventurous spirit of UAE travellers, from the vibrant streets of New York to the serene shores of Malé,” El Mamoun said.
Manchester, London, Athens, and New York City are the five most searched cities in the world.
Azerbaijan (Dh3,000), Georgia and Armenia (Dh3,300), and Salalah, Oman (Dh2,700) are all places where vacation packages are offered.
Most UAE employers give 30-day yearly leave, and citizens will have at least 13 public holidays this year. Residents told that they may take three vacations a year because of this. Expats use yearly breaks and public holidays for vacations in their home countries.
UAE citizens have longer weekends on four of the seven official holidays this year. After the long weekends for New Year 2024 and Eid Al Fitr, the country will celebrate Eid Al Adha (June), Islamic New Year (July), Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday (September), and UAE National Day (December).
