X once known as Twitter, Elon Musk’s social networking site, has officially legalized pornographic material after updating its requirements.
The social media site X has updated its policies to permit the sharing of pornographic material with specific permission tags.
“Users should be able to create, distribute, and consume material related to sexual themes as long as it is consensually produced and distributed,” was said after updating the rules by X.
We have launched Adult Content and Violent Content policies to bring more clarity of our Rules and transparency into enforcement of these areas. These policies replace our former Sensitive Media and Violent Speech policies – but what we enforce against hasn’t changed.

“Sexual expression, whether visual or written, can be a legitimate form of artistic expression,” according to X.
“We believe in the autonomy of adults to engage with and create content that reflects their own beliefs, desires, and experiences, including those related to sexuality,” they said.
The policy prohibits sharing materials promoting exploitation, nonconsent, objectification, sexualization or harm to minors, and obscene behaviors that children and adults can choose not to see.
Twitter has never officially banned nudity and sexualized content, unlike Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
X has drastically reduced moderating and reinstated banned accounts, including ex-President Donald Trump and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.
