Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum accepted a new Federal traffic law on Monday by decision of the UAE Cabinet.
Transportation regulations and the use of modern technology will both change as a result of the recently passed laws. The transport sector is seeing tremendous growth at the moment, and this change is an attempt to stay up.
“The new legislation will cover the expansion of the use of self-driving vehicles and electric cars. The law will also look at various types of personal means of transportation, and reliance on transportation as a whole,” Dubai Ruler said.
Additional terms cover driving license eligibility, suspension, vehicle insurance, inspections, and driving school restrictions.
The Federal traffic rules will take advantage of the technological innovation that characterizes the growth of the national road network.
In keeping with the UAE’s dedication to growth, Sheikh Mohammed oversaw a meeting of the UAE Cabinet and announced the passage of this bill afterward.
