Qatar Airways’ award-winning AI-powered digital human cabin staff, Sama 2.0, will be at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Dubai from May 6–9, 2024.
During next week’s event, Qatar Airways’ Sama 2.0 will assist travelers in designing personalized travel experiences, answering real-time queries, and finding answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs), destinations, support advice, and more.
The airline astonished attendees at the largest Middle Eastern travel and tourism convention with this cutting-edge exhibit and a state-of-the-art stand that offered multi-sensory rich experiences.
“Based on the demand from certain sectors, we see a high demand for First Class, and as such, have decided to introduce a newly-designed First Class cabin unique to Qatar Airways. We are combining the experience of flying commercial and executive jets to develop something new. We are 70 to 80 per cent ready and are only finalising colours. We are hoping to announce it soon,” said Al-Meer
Qatar Airways will hold an event for Gulf travel partners and specialists to meet Sama 2.0, an artificial intelligence-powered digital crew, as part of its “Transforming Travel Through Entrepreneurship” campaign.
The airline’s Qverse lets customers virtually explore the planes’ cabins (Business Class – Qsuite and Economy Class), the airport (HIA), which Skytrax named “World’s Best Airport” in 2024, and the first-class and business-class lounges.
In March, the small airline debuted Sama 2.0, a holographic virtual cabin staff, at ITB Berlin.
Another humanoid robot that has been in the news recently is Sophia. As of 2017, Sophia, a robot, became a citizen of Saudi Arabia, making it the first country to do so.
