The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued a Yellow alert for rain on Sunday, June 23.
In addition to convective clouds connected with rainfall over certain eastern areas, the meteorological authority warned of dust and sand from winds forecast to blow till 8 pm today.
With a social media post, the Abu Dhabi Police Department issued a request, urging drivers to be cautious and follow the speed limits.

Fog formation earlier today led to a warning from the Meteorological to drivers about bad vision.
A red alert warning due to a decrease in horizontal visibility was given by the Weather services and would decrease and worsen up to 8:30 in the morning.
