All citizens, visitors, and residents using the new Nol Card have had access to savings of up to Dh17,000 on a range of products and services starting from June 10.
Hotels, stores, adventure parks, entertainment venues, and other municipal partners also provide five to ten percent savings with the new card.
“The holders of the Nol Travel Card can use it to pay for public transportation, parking, and other entertainment and experiences in Dubai,” according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
The new Travel Card will first be available at Dubai International Airport (DXB) and other partner retailers including Zoom and Europcard.
The Dh200 card has a Dh19 reserve beginning the year. Later this year, you can renew for Dh150.
“This card is aimed at fulfilling the need of customers, integration public transportation and city’s facilities through one card, making it as one payment method with discounts exceeding 100 per cent and with a value of over Dh17,000,” Mohammed Al Mudharreb, CEO of the Corporate Technology Support Services Sector at RTA said.
“There are currently over 100 partners and facilities such as restaurants and entertainment facilities where this card is accepted and these numbers will increase in due course,” Amr Abdelsamad, managing director of MDX Solutions said.
Previous Nol cardholders can’t switch to the new Travel card but RTA has promised to rethink its decision.
