Dubai sports city fire is the news that shook the city on Monday morning, September 25. An unfortunate event occurred in Dubai Sports City which is renowned for its tall residential towers. A fire broke out in the Elite 6 Sports Residence, a residential high-rise, causing immediate alarm among the residents. Thankfully, Dubai’s rapid emergency response teams ensured a safe and controlled resolution to the crisis.
The Dubai Civil Defense received the fire complaint at 4:06am, promptly dispatching first responders from the Al Barsha Fire Station at 4:12am. Also, the Dubai Investments Fire Station and Jebel Ali Fire Station reached for assistance.
Firefighters acted promptly to evacuate residents and worked relentlessly to suppress the fire which was classified as ‘moderate’. Hence, the authorities controlled the fire by 5:23 am, and completely extinguished at 6:38 am. During the incident, no injuries have come to the fore.
According to a post on Reddit by the resident of the building, the apartment building was engulfed in flames for nearly two hours, with the fire extending to all 21 floors.
“I live there. Pretty bad fire. It took more than 2 hrs to put it out and spread to all 21 floors. Therefore, we’re all still outside and waiting to know when we can go in. I ran out with almost no stuff and now I’m regretting it. Lesson for everyone – keep an emergency backpack that you can run out with”
The inquiry into the precise origin of the fire is ongoing at the moment. However, the authorities have not yet disclosed the reason for the Dubai sports city fire in residential building.
Dubai Police department Showed solidarity and empathy to the impacted residents by providing them with Coffee and Water, bringing comfort to the tenants.
