The international body recognizes the unwavering commitment of company to sustainability across its diverse portfolio of businesses in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). dnata has become the first combined air services provider to receive environmental management certification from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). dnata received this certification as a result of the company’s membership in the International Air Transport Association.
IATA Environmental Assessment (IEnvA) is an accreditation system developed to objectively evaluate the commitment of aviation stakeholders. These include the likes of airlines, airports, shipping facilities, forwarding companies, and ramp handlers. Aim is to continuously enhance their environmental sustainability and operational performance. IenvA stands for International Air Transport Association Environmental Assessment.
IATA conducted a thorough review consisting of 74 required modules as well as all three optional ones. It also carefully evaluated dnata’s sustainability procedures and initiatives throughout its massive operations in the UAE. IEnvA accredited both dnata’s airport hospitality brand, marhaba, and its inflight catering joint venture, Alpha Flight Services (Alpha) via the hospitality module. This is in addition to the company’s corporate Headquarters, ground handling, and cargo operations. DUBZ, the baggage technology and distribution business for dnata, also acquired the accreditation. This exceptional accomplishment attests to dnata’s dedication to maintaining the highest possible standards of sustainability.
