A video of famous cricketer Babar Azam went viral on internet where he is being praised for his Punjabi accent mimicry. Pakistan’s Babar Azam attended the captains’ day of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 on Tuesday in Ahmedabad.
During the occasion, reporters were able to ask questions of Babar Azam and the other 10 leaders of the competing teams. Among those questioners were Indian commentator Ravi Shastri and England’s World Cup-winning Captain, Eoin Morgan.
In addition, athletes spoke to social media influencers while they were standing on the sidelines. Babar Azam entertained the crowd by repeating popular sayings in the Punjabi accent. A video of him trying to mimic the accent went viral, and it was met with laughter and amused replies.
