As the United Arab Emirates enters its summer season, a forecaster has predicted that rain will fall on the country’s residents in the coming days. On the other hand, areas to the east of the UAE are likely to see the most of the predicted rains.
Nearly one month has passed since the nation last experienced rain. There were varying degrees of rainfall around the nation in early May, and since then, the weather has been quite dry.
“We are expecting convective cloud activity around June 8-9, potentially leading to rain in the eastern mountainous regions of the UAE,” Dr Ahmed Habib, a climate expert from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), said.
Temperatures around the nation have been on the rise recently, and according to Dr. Habib, they will reach a high-temperature level very soon. Last week, the UAE had a high of 49.2°C, and in the days that followed, temperatures exceeding 45°C were noted.
Compared to May, humidity drops somewhat, especially in the second half, reducing fog and mist.
Damaged cars from the rain disaster have begun selling on the market, and the biggest concern is whether or not insurance would cover them.
