The state-run IRNA news agency claimed that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had attacked the Oracle data center and information infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates. However, Dubai authorities refuted the report.
The Revolutionary Guard said that the attack on former Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi and his wife was the reason behind the targeting of the Oracle plant in the United Arab Emirates, according to IRNA.
The report was released after Iranian media reported that on April 1, a US-Israeli strike on Kharrazi’s Tehran residence resulted in his wife’s death and significant injuries.
However, Dubai denied the report that Oracle data center was attacked.
The Dubai Media Office said that the spreading allegations were “fabricated and incorrect” in a statement published on US social media platform X on Friday.
Since the US and Israel began an airstrike on February 28, the area has been on high alert, with over 1,340 individuals killed thus far, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
In retaliation, Iran has launched drone and missile attacks against Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations that house US military installations. These attacks have disrupted international markets and aviation while also resulting in casualties and infrastructural damage.
